“It does, doesn’t it?” Chariot said, her voice soft.
It was always a bittersweet experience for her to look back on the past. She pursued her dreams, and in doing so she made mistakes and did terrible things. She felt the weight of them all every time she gazed up at the full moon.
But on nights like these, spending it casually with a long time companion, it was easier to remember the joyful times instead - just slightly.
Chariot suddenly felt a teardrop run down her cheek. She quickly wiped it away, hoping it had gone unnoticed.
“So I assume I can leave the cleaning up to you, right?” Chariot, said, trying her best to keep her voice from trembling. “Since I did most of the cooking...”
