Tipp No. 5
Due to the current weather situation in Germany. I thought I might give you some tipps how to keep your stuff at the festival clean and dry.
1. Take some big garbage bags with you. They will become your ultimative gadget. -You can make yourself a rainjacket if you cut or rip 3 holes into it and put it on. - You can keep your feet dry, even if you don’t have some rubber boots with you. Just put your foot in the bag before you put your shoe on and fasten the bag with some tape. (Don’t put the bag around your shoe, it will rip within the first hour) - If your tent isn’t 100% waterproof, you can tape some garbage bags on top of it and it might enhance the water restistance.
- It it starts to rain your can put some of your fresh, dry clothes in the bag and seal it. even if your tent it underwater the clothes stay dry. And believe me, after a long and cold night there is nothing better than dry clothes! - If it’s raining really really heavily, you might want to put your sleepingbag, your pillow and your blanked into the bag during the day. So you can make sure that you catch a good few hours of sleep.
2. No rubber boots and no garbage bags? Meanwhile almost all big festivals have the opportunity to buy basic equipment on site. Just keep your eyes and ears open! 3. Oh.. you have rubber boots? Good! Then you are a step ahead of about 60% of the other visitors. Here’s a hack for more comfort: Take thick and most important long socks with you. They should be a little bit longer than the shaft of the boot. Because without those, the boots will scrub your leg terribly.
4. For just light rain, put your pillow and clothes that should stay dry inside of your sleepingbag during the day and zip it. Because even if your tent is waterproof the air will be quite humid.
Stay dry and have fun! For more hacks and tipps check out my blog!
