It was odd, to say the least. Caroline had been on dates before, but none in the way that Klaus set them up. It left her to wonder if he was just over the top, or if everyone else she had been on a date with in the past had been slackers. Truth be told— both were just as likely. He had showed up right on time ( despite the fact she hadn’t contacted him in return, because he hadn’t left his phone number ), and they were already on their third stop of the night. It had started with dinner at a upscale restaurant, followed by dancing since they had never had their dance at the ball. The Demon of Fear got in the way before that could happen. She hadn’t expected much else after dancing, but then he had suggested that the two of them take a walk together. She could certainly tell he was pulling out all the stops— some which wasn’t entirely necessary, but she hadn’t objected. It was nice to be wooed for once, so she’d take it.
❝ So first dinner & dancing, now a nice moonlit walk. What’s next? Should I be expecting fireworks, or some form of nighttime parade? ❞
