Honestly, not much surprised Mercer at this point. This city had shown him more than his fair share of insanity and monstrosities.

This one took the cake though, honestly. It looked like something straight out of one of those old eastern monster movies. Normally, Mercer would’ve been ready for a fight but...the thing wasn’t rampaging. It wasn’t doing anything even slightly aggressive. If he was being honest, the thing was....

In such a putrid place, Roxanne wasn’t expecting to fall in love. The last thing on her mind was a whirlwind romance, to have her heart involuntarily rattling about for something so...so--
--this certainly wasn’t a dalliance, it couldn’t be. This was the real thing. She approaches with care and reverence, more than versed in dealing with creatures of this size. Nosepass follows at her heel obediently, though he’s not quite as taken with the strange creature just yet.
“Hello--! Has anyone told you how lovely you are?” definitely nothing she recognized, and hopefully nothing from her time period. She observes its scales, the coloration, the fluidity of its movement, all in the hopes of learning the most she can.
