Soviet-era (1950s-70s) photos found in an abandoned Moldovan village house.

The negatives were found by a film student that was visiting the Northern Moldovan village of Roșietici for his film on the abandoned houses left by mass emigration. He and other photographers worked to develop the 4000 photo negatives and release them to the public.
Via its diverse cast of characters - Bacho (Georgian), Garo (Armenian), Pavel (Russian or Ukrainian) and Janek (Estonian) - episode 4 highlights how many different Soviet republics Chernobyl liquidators were drafted from. Another small detail reflecting this are the flags flown above some of the tents in the liquidators’ encampment.
