Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the LORD, till he come and rain righteousness upon you. Hosea 10:12
6God's people had turned away from him to worship other gods. God had sent prophet after prophet to warn them, telling them clearly what they were doing wrong and what they needed to do to get back in right relationship with God. He had punished them by allowing other nations to oppress them. Now he sent Hosea to call the people again to repentance.
Hosea summed up Israel's need and that of many today very well: It is time to seek the Lord. Just as Israel needed to return to righteousness and following the one true God, so many today need to turn away from the false gods of this world and turn to the true and living God. Now is always a good time to seek the Lord!
