Colouring is pretty easy. Just make bundles of locks, tie them with a string and distribute the dye evenly down the hair bundle. Don’t rub vigorously or it will felt, when rinsing off, do it delicately and move down the hair shaft too. It will look matted when wet, and so let it dry (or use a hair iron to dry it quick!) and then just comb through a few times and it will be nice, smooth and soft again!

Basically you have to get soy fiber that is ready for spinning, which will be made out of loads of individual very fine strands. Just pull/tug them out on one end gingerly using your fingers to make a “lock” of hair. Try to make locks of the staple length (usually 4in), if you pull out too much and get a very long lock, separate it. Otherwise when gluing it, it will fall out when combed. Hope this makes sense!
