i dont think japanese companies have much trouble selling jeans either. supposedly japan has some of the highest quality denim manufacturers, so it might be more along the lines of how my american friends who go to japan keep posting pictures of $80 packs of gourmet cherries at the supermarket ‘cause they’ve never thought of fruit as something that could be valued in that way.

i don’t think they do now, but they did ~40 years ago (or so i’ve read????idk i only know about us/euro fashion really). yeah! they definitely do, which is a major part of the reasoning behind best jeanist as i’m sure you know. i’m pretty sure most americans see denim as the usual though,i guess is what i’m driving at, it’s a wardrobe basic and not really seen as high end despite there being a lot of well made jeans especially in bridge level fashion. so for it to be marketed/awarded as a special thing is weirding people out i guess

i would’ve said kimura because then there’d definitely be a rescue team and they’d be very motivated to save him. if they didn’t their mothers would never forgive them.

exactly. plus they would never give up, everyone knows he would still be out there alive, they just need to find him. practically guaranteed rescue if he doesn’t get you both saved somehow prior
