Speaking of art, I actually finished a painting yesterday! Holy shit!

It currently has the record for taking longest from start to finish, though it will likely soon be surpassed. I found the little panel in a bottom drawer worth the background space and nebula already painted, likely circa 2010. This week I added stars, sheep, and last night, helmet. \o/

Hey, I just released the latest (6th) chapter of my Witch From Mercury fic, maybe check it out!
Broadly speaking, it’s an AU where Suletta is a girl from a backwater planet with no piloting experience and no real exposure to the space-trillionare lifestyle, who’s found herself in an arranged marriage with Guel Jeturk, where one of her main wifely duties will be to serve as his champion in MS duels and such. Miorine is a societal outcast who offers to teach her how to pilot so her sham engagement doesn’t fall apart.
For the more sci-fi inclined, I get into a lot of the specifics of piloting (including AI-copiloting and the relationship between pilot and AI), mobile suit design, the logistics of dueling and mecha-sports and the ranking system behind it, as well as the politics of Space Corpo-Feudalism.
For the more slice-of-life inclined, I’ve got: Suletta-Guel-Miorine complicated love triangle, several polyamorous characters, friends teasing each other, Gender Stuff, Shaddiq being Shaddiq, mean girls, mutual pining, and generally Complicated Feelings.
This latest chapter has an, IMO, absolutely phenomenal mecha fight scene. It also has a cute smooch and discussions of cucumber sandwiches, plus Feelings.
