Here’s the video of Thistle’s reaction to 3 strangers (2 men, 1 woman) in our backyard, I don’t mind getting some feedback - especially around when I should be redirecting her attention or getting her attention versus when I should be letting her look and check them out. I know my timing aint so great. It was a rough start too at the start getting her to focus. Thinking I should have moved further away from back door. This video is specifically her reactions and I stopped recording when she settled 6-7 mins later
Sorry it jumps around - I’ve cut out personal conversations or times the camera isn’t looking at her so can’t see what she’s doing. Towards the end I had forgotten it on, but i had gotten some of her inside behaviour. Then it turned off because she was calmer and chilling.
Next times:
Step 1 is to get her a raised bed/platform, as realised unlike inside the house where she is calmer and quiet because she knows to go to bed and it is safe in bed, in the yard there is no place for her to go sit and be safe on.
Step 2 would be to have her sitting on it as the guests come out
Step 3 is for me to stop being so worried and frazzled
