Late Anticipation
The excitement is almost too much to bear. I have so many ideas about how this mission will go; some of them good, some bad.
I would like for it to be a shining success and have our mission to go down in the logs as a stupendous feat accomplished by the best humanoid/robot pair since Bender and Fry. To have such a star on my record would grant me access to missions I've dreamed of piloting since I was a young space kid. So many Systems and Novas to see. I'm so weary of this routine in the same old star clusters. I want to see new stars!
But, it could also go completely wrong! I could miss a signal from Copper or the planet below. This is an underground culture, and there are many aspects about them that we don't understand completely. Will I be able to find common ground? Will I be able to sustain the patience and understanding to communicate properly? Will Copper keep all careful calculations in order without a re-boot?
Time and the efficient usage of it is crucial for this one, and it will be a long mission. I'll try to come up with a mantra to keep me focused. Something simple to remind me what is real and what's not...I have the memory of my love, the mission at hand, and my robot who is always by my side. With that I should be able to keep everything moving.
3 is the magic number!
