One character concept I want to incorporate into Space Fugitives is endlings. Endlings are the last member of their species. Not only would this person be perfect for a misfit band of space fugitives, but there’s so much potential there in terms of character arcs. 

I also want to incorporate the idea of a nomadic space race. A species that has no home planet, but makes their life as wanderers of the galaxy. The idea there is that they had a home planet once but it was destroyed long ago, and rather than relocating they decided to make their home the stars themselves.
