I was already an adult when the internet became a thing. I learned raw html in grad school because that was the only way to publish things on the web at the time. On Netscape. I don’t know if digital natives understand the still-glorious mindfuckery of googling “stick a lobster on my head” and getting this INSTANTLY.

Raving about giant lobsters from outer space at the top of your lungs — if you’re going to hijack a Walmart intercom, you may as well make it interesting. Alerting shoppers to greatly discounted prices on fashion accessories for moldering corpses is also well worth the effort.

When I was 13 I invented this mythology and culture all about space lobsters.  There only a few lobsters earned the rank of the Mega Lobster, elite soldiers who were blessed by the Great Lobster Nova (a lobster deity made up of starts and space dust) with wings and powers so they could defend the planet from the dreaded panda demons.

They would call upon the great Lobster Nova for guidance and assistance while they fought for the freedom and safety of what was left of their swiftly shrinking population.  

This is a real thing I made up there are pictures and everything why did I do this instead of passing biology.
