how were these two episodes aired right next to each other
No one understands But Major Tom sees Now the light commands This is my home I’m coming home... I got shown this song by my mom and couldn’t get the thought of Space Nomad Plasmius out of my head. So you get this picture. I suck at drawing planets, but I’m getting better at drawing Plasmius! This is the version I listened to while drawing it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wGaamlBoNNE
On Indiegamestand, pay what you want for Star Nomad, until October 5 (see the site for the exact time). Gameplay video
The game is also available for Android (free with some optional bonuses to purchase).
This is an indie 2D space trading and fighting game, made by one Australian developer. I got it some weeks ago in a sale and played it for some hours (on PC). You can trade between systems, fight enemies and mine asteroids. A main storyline gives you some goals, if you want, and you can choose various missions (combat or commerce). The trading system is simple (a little repetitive once you have discovered some good trading route) and, with enough credits to buy a better ship, the combat missions are fun. You direct the ship with the mouse, the lasers work automatically and you can shoot missiles. You must choose appropriate battles, some enemies can wipe you quickly. The passing allies (according to the faction you chose) help you and you can lure enemies to them. When your ship is destructed, you comes back to your base with a basic ship, but you keep your credits and most of the value of what you bought before (a kind of insurance, you don't lose too much).
Some menus could be improved (the game is complete, but the developer is still working on it). The spaceships are nice. The characters art is a little limited. I like this game as something to play occasionally, when I want to explore space and fight (as a kind of Han Solo) and don't want to play something too long and complex.
I’m not one of those who views the present as one of humanity’s high points, in consideration of what I consider the regression of the contemporary moment. For instance, I recall getting into an argument with some guy on a net forum somewhere who made the claim that Americans were the realization of Nietzsche’s ideals, the transcendent human, as in the “ubermensch.” My response was something like, “Have you ever walked into a McDonald’s? When Nietzsche spoke of the Twilight of the Idols, I don’t think he was talking about American Idol.”
