I had the unique experience of first seeing this at the Drunk History panel at SDCC and everyone was losing it because holy shit new secret Drunk History segment and I was just dying on an extra level because IT’S CHESS

also the way the narrator says ‘RUSSIA’ when declaring all of the Russians champions is now the way I pronounce it while watching the Olympics.

It’s a good drunk history to have a smile about.

god I remember the live action movies trying to go “L lives” and I’m over here like “uh what the fuck”

and honestly it’s best for everybody because the post-L anime/manga loses a shitload of momentum (Teru Mikami’s entertaining screaming aside) so straight from peak to peak and yes I know there are people out there who are super into Near and Mello but honestly did anyone really give a fuck about them? I DIDN’T.

Ryuk knows what’s up he knew that shit would be boring after L died bc that was the fun part. No more homoerotic cat and mouse = ‘bye light time to die’

the movie was blah (as you can see from my series of posts about it) but I did have fun drinking and bitching about musicals with my sister.

honestly emma watson sung two notes and i was like ‘god this will be excruciating I’M SINGING OVER THIS’ and we sang along through most of Belle together
