roathe, for the sake of amusement and staving off boredom (also he likes drifter, sue him) watching drifter's eyes track his tail. watching as drifter is consumed by the mind-demons, fighting back the urge to pounce and chase after it like a cat.
roathe consciously letting his tail settle, shifting it minutely, before making it sway, trying to entice drifter into playing.
it works, because drifter has been watching roathe watch them, and saw the tiny smiles and bitten off chuckles, and will 100% play this game with him
cat people being cat people and weird and gross and in love, your honour
YES BUT ALSO,
you know that little game that people play with their cats and their cats' tails where when the cat is sleeping, but then their human presses gently on the tail, the cat continues to sleep but moves the tail in a gracious but annoyed way. and they do this little song and dance several times?
