Just a note: I’m going to respond to all of these show suggestions but if you want to actually pick the shows I liveblog, you need to be a patron.
I’ve had that recommended to me! I haven’t watched it yet, though.
@flerponius That’s sort of how She-Ra got bumped up to the main roster! The patron who picked it ended their patronage at that tier, and I had enjoyed it so much that I encouraged my patrons to vote for it in the show-picking poll for what would replace Madoka Magica.
Unless it’s picked by my patrons, that’s not something I’m gonna seek out on my own, sadly. It doesn’t seem up my alley. I’m sorry @spacedimentio !
That’s a very different question, @mariochiefsonic-117 , and one I don’t have a proper answer for yet. I’ll definitely consider it, though.
You can always suggest stuff @yumantimatter!
Hilda was the runner-up in the poll to replace Madoka, if I recall correctly! I’ve heard it’s VERY good.
I watched ATLA in college! I got through the first, like, four episodes of korra before putting it down, though.
Also, I’m so, so glad I could help the both of you. I hope things are going well <3
I’ve heard good things about Assassination Classroom, or, at least, silly things. I’ll take that under recommendation!
And, honestly, the bigger part of the Madoka problem was meta stuff related to the liveblog.
I actually stopped reading Gunnerkrigg years ago when my interest just...petered out. I didn’t find what they were doing with the characters or plot interesting, and they weren’t focusing on the ones I did. Much like Questionable Content, I was sticking around for one or two threads, and the comic didn’t retool itself to have those threads as the centerpiece like QC did with the Faye/Bubbles plotline.
I caught up with never Satisfied a ways back, but I still like that one, and should pick it back up.
As for liveblogging webcomics...I’m not sure it’s up my alley. I wouldn’t really know how to define session boundaries, and it’d be a whole different style OF liveblogging. If you like webcomic liveblogs, though, DEFINITELY check out @mindareadsoots!
I also watched Adventure Time for like...four?...seasons, and like Gunnerkrigg, my interest just...fizzled out. It’s not a bad show, but it was just too aimless and meandering for me to really get into it. It didn’t even have the level of frenetic, often hilarious energy that Wander Over Yonder has been giving me.
@awritersrejections I’m a huuuuuge fan of Rooster Teeth, and have been wanting to watch Camp Camp for a while, especially considering I’d heard it was really good. The summary I’ve gathered is “South Park, if it were positive and affirming instead of negative and cynical”, which DEFINITELY interests me.
I had originally planned to have it be Madoka’s replacement while I cooled off, but then I instituted the patron picks, and boy HOWDY has that been a success, so I dunno when I’ll get to it or even if I want to officially add it to the main roster.
