Do augments grow old at the same pace as regular humans? Sorry, I'm a newbie and felt curiosity ^^U
Don't be sorry~! :D<333 Wanting to know more about lovely Khan stuff is never something to be sorry for~!♥♥
(Wall of text ahead, I can't help waffling about Khan and headfic etc....)
We don't know for sure if they grow old at the exact same pace, since that wasn't covered in detail in canon, but they do grow old, quite visibly so as evidenced by Khan in Wrath of Khan. It's possible the horrific stress and trauma of life on Ceti Alpha V, especially losing his wife and worrying over keeping all the others alive, made his hair white sooner and/or made him age prematurely in general, and that if he had been in a more healthy setting he would have aged a bit slower, but in any case it's clear that aging happens for augments too, (drastically and noticeably even over a period of only 15 years like it was).
Personally, my headcanon based on what we see in the canon is that they age slightly slower (or rather than "slowly" perhaps a better way to explain it would be "age more gracefully than normal people" I guess) and probably live a bit longer than normal people (due to the superior healing/regenerative abilities etc.)
But I don't think they'd have a lifespan several times the amount of a normal human's or something that extreme. The difference is probably way less, or at least, it's how I imagine it would be. And considering that in the future people would live a lot longer than nowadays/than in the time the augments were created (as we can see with Bones still being around at almost 140 years old, and perhaps people can live even longer than that), an augment would probably live a bit longer than someone born in the future. So the difference between them would be less dramatic than between an augment and a normal human also born around the time of the eugenics wars. (Dunno how much the difference would be for new baby augments born in the future and raised with all the more advanced health care, better food etc. available... inevitably the life expectancies would lengthen, it would be a interesting thing to ponder. X3 They would discover allergies they never had in their time period. XD;;)
