“I’m an exhibit specialist. So, items go into space, but when they come back to earth, they have to come back to someone. They come to me.”
“So you actually touch them? You touch things from space? I love space! Any moon rocks?”
“I have two moon rocks in my inventory from Apollo 14 and Apollo 17. I brought artifacts that were used such as a full assembly glove, a boot that was on the shuttle, food that wasn’t used, a makeup kit that our female astronaut used on the ISS for 9 months, and a restraint glove. Which, people think this is the only thing people see so this is what they assume the suit is. There is actually another glove they wear inside. The glove has a bladder for radiation fallout. It’s mainly worn for pressurization, thermoregulation in the fingertips and everything.”
“Right, because it’s cold in space.”
“It’s cold on the opposite side of the sun, but between the sun and the earth it is extremely hot.”
“Have you been to space?”
“I’m on the list for Mars One. We do a lot of the taste testing, and it depends on what your background is in. Mine is in medicine. For Mars one, we want to keep the greenhouse together. It is 9 months there, so that would be pretty important.”
“Please go to Mars. Make it happen.”
“Right now, it is a one-way trip, so we are working on the technology.”
