The Cipher Hotel was one of the grandest in the country. The building was a wonder and beauty of architect with its use of triangles. Just about everything under the name Cipher had triangles with the actual logo being the all seeing-eye. The building itself looked like a collection of triangles forming together to become a pyramid but they were just not quite there yet. The decorations and interior design carried on the theme of triangles with eyes in the middle making it look like every corner or the hotel was being watched. The color was a dark gold which under some light almost emitted a soft glow.
This was the crowning treasure of the Cipher Company, a world renowned enterprise which was involved in all manners of industry and trade. It was a trusted and loved company which boasted three points “Sum, Aurum, Deus”, which the owner said stood for the companies values; spreading wealth, working towards a future, and working under god. And tonight the company was celebrating it’s 7th anniversary.
An extremely young company for how much wealth it’s generated.
Inside the Cipher Hotel there were big names from all walks of life, political, celebrities, business, etc. And the host with the most was the owner of the company himself, William “Bill” Cipher.
“Well, Mr. Cipher, you’ve really outdid yourself this time.” A red head with a dazzling pink dress lingered near the man of the hour, carefully balancing a martini glass in her hand. The man next to her had his feet up on the golden fence that looked over the balcony they were standing on, and just barely leaning over that any light tap may send him toppling into the crowd below. The suit of yellow and black was extremely well tailored, looking like it had some Egyptian influence. When he leaned back his always slightly messy blonde hair almost covered one eye and he brought a black gloved hand to brush it away.
A grin crossed the young man’s lips as he looked at the woman. “I had to go all out for the anniversary, Veronica. It’s the number 7, people like the number 7.” He looked back out at the crowd and his golden eyes narrowed for a moment. “It’s the only number with a decent angle.”
His smile then brightened once more and he stepped away, adjusting his bowtie. “Time to smooze again. What’s a party without me, right?”
Bill Cipher liked parties, but this wasn’t a party. It was too normal, to tame. Even some of the crazier things hidden in some of the hotel rooms, being done in dark corners, was not enough for him. He had to be patient though. The big party he was working up to would someday begin. It was all a matter of time now.
