Work Description: I am offering a fic of a minimum of 3K words. There is a chance that I will write more than that (and if you know my other works you'll know I'm long-winded), but I didn't want to under-deliver. I'm fairly open and it's important that the winner gets what they want, but equally, I need to be inspired to write it! The Rogues are back; Tony Stark couldn't even be mad about it - it was his idea after all. He's an Avenger and that means protecting the Earth at any cost - even if he has to deal with a certain star-spangled man and his sullen sidekick. After all, he's been through worse in his life; the loss of his wife and the disappearance of his son 12 years ago. Compared to that, this would be a walk in the park.

Bucky Barnes is back on US soil as a free man. But freedom is more than just physical. On top of that, Steve is desperate for him to be the man he was before. The only problem is; that man is long dead.

Peter Parker has been through the mill but he knows he just had to adapt, roll with the (many) punches and keep going. Spider-man is his safe place now, the one time he could truly feel like himself. Like he is making a difference. He'd make sure no one would suffer like he has, even if he has to track down the perpetrator himself.

happy ffwf!! listen I know it isn’t friday but I'm cheating!!

I have like 5k wips and it’s actually sad cause I'm stuck on all of them 

I'm writing a oneshot with midtown kids having a slumber party at their school and dealing with post-snap angst together, a short little flash/mj in which mj saves flash from a spider (that’s not a spider-man reference it’s actually just a spider), and I'm working out a few problems with the venom series I'm attempting to write, some plot things I thought I had figured out but now I'm realizing I don’t. 

Also I've been working on some original stuff that’s just been crashing and burning and AHHHHH

here’s a snippet from the venom series I hope to still post someday but right now I'm struggling with it - I think I'm just struggling with writing in general because of the pandemic, but you know

“Liz,” said Peter. He stared up at the ceiling of his abandoned apartment, and his web hammock swayed under his weight. “Are you happy?”

“Peter… is everything okay? It just - it sounds like everything might not be okay.”

“No, I’m good.” He didn’t add the part that he was only good because he was talking to her, that as soon as they hung up, it was back to real life and that was another story. “I just need to know. You’re happy, right? At MIT?”

“Of course,” she said. “It’s a dream come true.”

Happy FFWF! I’m a big fan of your MCU work. Do you have any WIP’ s at the moment that you’d like to share a summary or snippet of?

Hiii friend and happy ffwf! I’m so delighted that you’ve read and enjoyed my stuff! Most of my wip’s are for different fandoms right now, but I do have this snippet from my May’s Abusive BF longfic draft that’s been sitting in my drafts but will get finished as soon as I get over my work/school deadlines and graduate. Have at it:

“Uh,” Peter says intelligently to the empty hallway.

“Who is it?”

Peter kicks the door shut with his socked heel and twists the cellophane-wrapped bouquet in his hands in search of a card. “Flowers…‘from an admirer,’ he said. I thought you and Ruth were heterosexual life partners?”

May materializes in the doorway of the living room at a velocity that would have alarmed her nephew if not for his superhuman hearing. She deadpans, “Actually, we’ve upgraded to lesbian lovers. Ugh, how many gardenias did they put in there? Lemme go crack open a window. I don’t know how you haven’t collapsed yet from sensory overload. And I’m the human one.” 

Peter finally locates the powder blue note amid a mass of white petals as May bustles over to the windows. He raises his voice as he reads it aloud. “Two chance meetings is probably a coincidence. Three sounds more like a message from the universe. Want to tempt the fates with a fourth? -J.” The boy lowers the card quickly. His neck and face suddenly feel very, very hot.

“Well,” he says mildly, and lays the note on the coffee table as gingerly as if it were a detonated bomb. “That’s definitely not Ruth.”

Happy FFWF! I don’t know if you do this but thought I’d send out an ask anyway...! Who is your favourite character to write and why?

i love ffwf when i have the time/energy for it, so thanks for asking!!! i answered a similar question here, but another character i love to write is azula from avatar: the last airbender!

azula is SUCH an interesting character to me, and she has so many cool facets to her! for example, the fact that she’s Awful at interacting with kids her age but is a tactical prodigy? incredible.

i also love exploring both the good and bad in her! she’s done some awful things, and while she is obviously directly responsible for them and should face consequences for her actions, she also has a lot of elements to her life that explain how she came to be the way she is.

overall, she’s an insanely complex character that i love to pieces, and i always have fun picking her personality apart.
