Svitlana let out a gentle groan as she rolled onto her side. A soft sigh left her as she tucked herself under Antonio's chin. At the presence, the Spaniard lay his arm over her, holding the woman close as he pressed a soft kiss to her forehead.
"Mm... good morning, Lana." the man chimed sleepily, his eyes still closed as he petted her hair. After a moment, he paused as they eased open. "Lana, baby, you're burning up." He placed his hand against her forehead gently, a soft frown coming to his lips.
A shiver racked the woman's body as she pulling the blanket tighter around herself. "I am...? Oh goodness me..." she murmured back weakly, her own eyes opening to look at the man. They seemed glassy, and her cheeks were reddened with fever as she gave him a small, tired smile.
With a soft nod, the Spaniard sat up and slid out of bed. He petted the woman's hair and let out a gentle hum. "You wait right here, alright, Lana? I'm gonna make you some soup or something! Soup always comes in handy when you're sick!"
With a jovial laugh, the man headed for the kitchen, leaving Svitlana in bed, curled up in the blankets. The woman had a gentle smile on her face as she watched him leave, her head rested against his pillow.
As Toni worked on the soup in the kitchen, Lana forced herself to sit up. She got to her feet, wrapping her robe tightly around herself as a shiver ran through her body. Once she was robed, the ill woman shuffled into the kitchen and to the Spaniard's side.
Antonio smiled at the Ukrainian's presence, turning his head to kiss her cheek when she rested her chin on his shoulder. "You shouldn't be out of bed, mi amor. Not with a fever like that." he whispered to her softly, sprinkling some sea salt into the soup he was making.
She sighed gently, looking up to him with that same soft smile. "I... I know I shouldn't, Toni, but I didn't want to be away from you." she replied gently as her eyes closed. She had a soft, dreamy little grin on her lips.
Once Antonio had finished the soup, he set the top on it to simmer. Gently, he scooped the woman up into his arms, pressing a kiss to her cheek. "Lana, let's go and sit on the couch, alright?" he chimed out, carrying the woman to their living room after setting the timer.
He sat down on the couch, settling Svitlana down onto his lap as he petted her hair. "Don't worry, Lana. I'm gonna help you feel better, okay?" he told her softly, gently wrapping his arms around her as he rocked her.
She just relaxed against him, her eyes staying closed as she sighed. "Thank you, Toni. thank you so much." she replied lightly, "I do hope I get better soon. You know how I hate being ill. I can't do any work if I'm sick like this."
He petted her hair, trying to soothe her as he smiled. "Shh, shh, it's okay, mi amor. Let Tonio take care of all the work for today! You just focus on getting rest!" he chirped as he carefully shifted her from his lap.
The timer for the soup was going off, and so the man got to his feet. After kissing her forehead, he headed to the kitchen to retrieve a bowl for her. Alongside it, her also got a glass of juice and a slice of bread to go along with it.
When he returned with the tray of food, Lana was smiling gently up to him. He grinned back at her sweetly and took his seat next to her once again. Carefully, then, he filled the spoon with some soup and blew the steam away before offering it to her.
She happily accepted the soup as she sighed, her cheeks still rosy with fever. He continued until she motioned that she couldn't eat another drop. At that, the Spaniard set the tray on the coffee table and wrapped an arm around her.
"Now how about you get some rest, huh?" he told her softly, ruffling her hair as he smiled. She gave a gentle nod and curled up to him, resting her head on his shoulder. Before long, the woman was emitting soft little snores as a dainty smile sat on her lips. Toni smiled gently, whispering a soft 'get well soon' to her as he rested his head against hers.
