Its personnel consisted of volunteers who agreed to fight on the Eastern Front as part of the Luftwaffe

During its participation in combat, the squadron was also part of the 51st Fighter Squadron (JG.51). From the summer of 1941 to the winter of 1944, the squadron's personnel changed five times. New personnel replaced those who had served their time or were killed. 1941
