“Fool,” said the Witch with a savage smile that was almost a snarl, “do you really think your master can rob me of my rights by mere force? He knows the Deep Magic better than that. 

He knows that unless I have blood as the Law says, all Narnia will be overturned and perish in fire and water.”

@spareoom​ event 01: original character introduction - Devika, the Gentle Witch

An exceptional witch of Calormen descent, Devika is the eldest child of five in her family. She and her best friend Nim, a cloud nephelai, fought in the First Rebellion against Jadis, the White Witch. Hit by a life threatening blow, Devika was overpowered and ultimately fell. Once both Devika and Nim, the two powerhouses of the rebellion, were dealt with it was easy for Jadis to gain control over the battle. After she won, Jadis decided to keep Devika alive but in cryostasis so she could use Devika’s powers against the very people she had fought with. She was finally freed from her endless slumber after the Pevensie children had defeated Jadis and reclaimed Narnia. After she was freed, Devika chose to join Queen Susan’s court and became one of her closest friends and advisors. She was known as the Gentle Witch to all.

A thundercloud nephelai with a fierce heart, General Nim is the middle child between Ima and Cai from one of the Western Sky Clans. His best friend is Devika, the Gentle Witch, who fought by his side against Jadis in the First Rebellion. He is captured and imprisoned in an unknown location by Jadis until six years after her defeat, when Cai and Queen Susan discover the secrets of his capture and gather a small group to set him free. He later becomes the High King Consort of Narnia after marrying High King Peter Pevensie, the Magnificent.
