#083.5 - The stalks of leeks are thicker and longer in the Galar region, causing the Farfetch’d who live there to develop a much stronger frame than their Kantonian counterparts, giving them the strength required to carry their massive leek. Though Galarian Farfetch’d are able to wield their leeks like swords or javelins in battle, the sheer mass of them makes it hard for these Pokemon to fly. They have an honorable, courageous spirit and enjoy battling; only through fighting and striking powerful hits can Galarian Farfetch’d evolve. Their mighty leek is their prized possession, which they use and maintain for years. Once the leaves grow thick and sturdy, they will slice them off and use them as a hard, defensive shield. A fully mature Sirfetch’d is a Pokemon who has experienced and survived many battles; once their leek finally withers, Sirfetch’d will retire from battle for good.

Farfetch’d, the Wild Duck Pokémon (Sonic)

The Intonian form of Farfetch’d is known for its smug attitude and extreme speed. Many people try to catch it, most of the times chefs, since its taste is said to be delicious, but it always gets away, running at an immense speed. Its cries can heard from miles away, or well...let’s call it laughter instead. However, the most incredible part about this Pokémon is the speed in which it can stab you with its asparagus. More than 500 times in one minute. Although their asparagus might be stolen from a field, they make it their own in order to let out their almost supersonic-speed like strength.

Sparfetch’d, the Rogue Pokémon (Sonic / Dark)

Just like it’s pre-evolution, Sparfetch’d is known for its incredibly fast movements. It often attacks others without them even noticing anything. With its duel-blade-asparagus is can slice through rocks and stab 100 times per minute. It can see in the night and hide in shadows. Don’t even try to outrun it, you won’t stand a chance. It often searches fights with stronger opponents in order to prove its strength, and wins by using dirty tricks.

What does Sparfetch'd mean?

Ah, sorry. A combination of "Spar" referencing their training/battling phase with the "-fetch'd" suffix. It also, almost, a combination of the prefixes "far-" and "sir-".
