Since Transformers're living beings, they obviously get sick, and diseases definitely exist. That's why there're medics. However, how do they get vaccinated, and do they even need to?

In the same way that your own immune systems seek out and eliminate pathogens before they can infect your body, so too are our own internal workings protected by intricate, interconnected mechanisms that you might call an “immune system”. Our brain modules are heavily encrypted and secured behind what you would call a “firewall”, while our physical bodies are protected by a complicated system of ultra-thin, electrostatically charged plates that attract and filter out environmental hazards like sand, dust, and rust flakes.

However, these systems are not perfect, and in an ever-changing world Cybertronians must constantly update their software—and, in extreme cases, the hardware itself. When Cybertronians arrive on new worlds, their internal systems analyze the atmospheric conditions and geology of the local terrain and adapt their system accordingly. However, these kinds of ad-hoc reconfigurations are not enough to withstand the very worst diseases known to our species, and in these cases more drastic measures must be taken. In times of postwar prosperity, these campaigns take the form of “Quantum Cycle Upgrades”, where both Maximals and Predacons receive mandatory hardware and software packages that would bring them up to a consistent standard. By the time of the Spark War, the Maximal Imperium and the Predacon Alliance had, over the course of multiple upgrade cycles, worked together to stamp out 73% of all Transformer diseases, including Cosmic Rust, cybercrosis, and Corrodia Gravis.

However, in times of war, where the Cybertronian race is scattered across the galaxy and the worst of our kind concoct monstrous bioweapons, this kind of "herd immunity" is impossible, as is any kind of organized, species-wide response to a disease outbreak. Depending on the resources at hand, individual Cybertronians might have to adopt entirely new bodies in order to fight off an infection-as was the case when the Earth Defense Command transferred the minds of many Autobots and Decepticons into custom-built Binaltech bodies in order to stave off a debilitating Cosmic Rust infection, or when the Oracle reformatted Optimus Primal's Maximals into technorganic frames immune to Megatron’s transformation virus.

What beast modes would the Maximals have if they didn’t scan mammal/bird type aninimals?

While uncommon, it is not unheard of for Maximals to adopt non-mammalian beast modes, most notably the Insectrons and Jointrons. During the Spark War against Megatron's Vehicons, Maximals caught up in the conflict included a number of diverse alternate forms, including T-Wrecks the tyrannosaurus and the repentant Predacon Buzzsaw, who'd thrown his lot in with the Maximals after the Oracle reformatted him into a technorganic form.

Whose your favorite pony?

Dear Equestrian Enquirer,

An interesting question! I certainly admire Strada for his tenacity and bravery—the final member of the Thoroughbred Corps to fall during their heroic last stand on the fortress world of Gravett Tau. I think that even I could stand to learn something from Mach Kick’s lackadaisical attitude, and how it belies the spark of a fierce and confident warrior. Battle Unicorn’s mastery of guerilla warfare, and his adept use of strike-and-fade tactics, made him a persistent thorn in the side of many Vehicon Generals during the Spark War. And Magna Stampede proved a courageous soldier in the final days of the Grand Uprising, even if his faith in his supposed "noble lineage" made him a touch bigheaded. These days, I also find myself intrigued by the shy and mysterious Singlehorns of the Khathos cluster. Indeed, I think that all of these examples possess traits I find admirable.

Next part of my world building for my personal transformers universe. I already detailed the difference between spark types and this part is the history of the war between the two main types, Calidum and Frigus. Enjoy.

The leader of Tarn, a Calidum named Dent, took notice and sent an envoy to talk to Beta, but she stood firm by her decision that the Frigus needed more rations and she would only let the Calidum return when Iacon agreed to give extra rations for Frigus. Iacon of course refused and Tarn was swamped by Praxian Calidum who had been displaced by the rebellion. Tarn quickly retaliated, informing Beta that if she didn’t back down a fight would ensue. She stood her ground and Tarn marched on Praxus, who had fortified their walls. The siege was unsuccessful, as the Tarn army was mainly Calidum and not suited for siege warfare. Angered Dent, who had renamed himself Violen Jiger, banished all the Frigus of Tarn. Meanwhile the other city states had taken notice and similar rebellions sprung up, Calidum and Frigus turning against each other all across the planet. One by one the city states sided with either until only a third of the planet remained unaligned. Not wanting to wait to see which side each city state would choose Praxus (now the Frigus capital) and Tarn (now the Calidum capital) decided they would take the city states. It is unclear which city attacked the neutrals first, but both did it independently of one another, not in retaliation to the other.   The war quickly took more than half the neutral zones and bitterly fought with one another for the remaining zones, which included Kaon and Iacon. During the fighting the Neutram, Vagus, Procul were forced into the war torn neutral zones, being accepted on neither side. A stalemate was reached near the half a million year mark of the war, both sides losing and gaining, but neither coming out on top of the other. It remained like that for two million years until something happened in the slums of Koan, a prime emerged. During the Quintesson War the entire dynasty of primes had been slaughtered and the matrix of leadership stolen and hidden in an unknown location. Somehow the matrix had found its way back to the true prime, who had been a Neutram named Custos, who became Guardian Prime.  

  Guardian managed to start a revolt among the remaining neutrals and led them in small scale attacks against the two drastically larger forces and with the help of the Cybertronian underworld managed to damage supply lines for both groups, sending them into turmoil and causing the restlessness amongst their citizens to worsen. Guardian then revealed themselves to the public and promised change and end to the war. Straight away Beta and Violen put a bounty on the new prime’s head, much to the protest of the people and set out personally to hunt Guardian down. To their anger Guardian avoided them at every turn and the two remained unsuccessful until they ran into one another. The two decided to join forces and track down Guardian together, which was what the prime had been expecting. The prime led them on a wild goose chase until they ended up in the middle of Iacon, where a vast amount of both armies were amassed and it was revealed that Beta and Violen were working together. Driven into a rage by the betrayal both armies ripped apart their leaders. As word spread through the factions about what had happened the government and structure of both fell apart and the people were left aimless. That was when Guardian stepped in and offered to lead the people, but only if they voted for them. Of course none of the other possible candidates were popular enough or charismatic enough and Guardian won by a landslide. Guardian dissolved the borders between the Frigus and Calidum, bringing unity to the people of Cybertron, creating the second Golden Age.
