Another year, another round of pride icons for pride month 2026 feat. all my @threeclans guys!
With the group celebrating its 10th anniversary this year it's crazy to think I've been doing these icons for nearly as much time - but it's a tradition I've come to look forward to!! 🏳️🌈
A mix of envy, insecurity, and repressed emotions. Heads up this is loooooooooooooooong lol
So Sparkclaw is a few moons older than Wolf and remembers what it was like before she was born. I like to think she’s an only child (apart from her dad adopting Mallow and his sisters after their parents passed), either her litter mates were all stillborn/fading kittens or she was born after a few unsuccessful litters. So basically both her parents and much of the clan had high hopes for her as she was clearly very strong from a young age and after so many losses she was kind of a rainbow baby.
Safe to say she was expected to be a high ranking warrior, specifically a code keeper, and there were talks of her even being deputy one day given her heritage and strength. Her family is descended from the second duskclan leader Scorchstar (more info here) however….Mallow and his sisters aren’t considered ‘worthy’ of that title. It was pretty obvious from a young age they were timid and meek, so the clan and her parents focused on her bc she was strong and ambitious- both traits very becoming of a Patron Leader’s lineage.
Well this is a lot of pressure for a young kit, but she loved it, she wanted to be a leader and she admired Jaggedstar greatly.
Then Wolf was born and suddenly the only thing anyone talked about was Wolfkit. It didn’t matter to Spark that it was mostly disparaging comments, Wolf became an obstacle for her. So she was rude to her, as she is to all the other kits, and hoped that she could still reach her goals of being deputy despite this. She was hoping Jaggedstar would take her as an apprentice but when she was assigned to Stoatfang instead she was livid, then Jagged became Wolf’s mentor and it was just salt in the wound. (Also being apprenticed at 5 moons like Wolf was is considered prestigious)
So she worked hard to be better and she was, Wolf was younger and struggling to meet expectations. Meanwhile Spark excelling at every task before her.
But then something happened, she realized she felt…feelings towards Wolf, feelings she wasn’t sure what to do with. At some point she wanted to impress Wolf not just outshine her, the line between love and hate is very thin.
Who knows what their relationship would’ve looked like if Wolf hadn’t fled with Lynx to the coast.
Spark was disappointed and relieved when Wolf left, she believed she was soft and decided to become a kittypet instead. She thought about her a lot during the moons before Saltclan joined the gatherings. She felt safe to think these thoughts about Wolf and what could’ve been since Wolf was there anymore. She imagined scenarios ranging from becoming leader and Wolf having to beg Spark to let her come back to more softer ideals of Wolf returning because of Spark to be with her.
Then Wolfstar returned and Spark broke. Her one sided crush/rival returns after disappearing into thin air, with the kit she stole, 9 lives and a brand new clan. And Spark was still an apprentice, despite being older and better.
So she spirals a little (off screen ofc) and kinda ruins her own reputation. Prior to Wolf’s return she was viewed as ambitious and a future code keeper. For a while she was seen as unstable and fixated, she would snap on others for very minor things and pick fights with senior warriors.
Eventually she regained some semblance of control- meeting with mediators on the low to avoid scrutiny- and managed to control her outbursts but the damage was done. She earned her warrior name much later than her peers but eventually she passed.
For a while she everything went back to normal for her, she avoided Wolf and Saltclan at gatherings, she worked hard for her clan, and she kept to herself. Then Thornstrike decided to attack saltclan for the abandoned nest and she was all too happy to face wolfstar in battle- something they hadn’t done since they were paws.
Spark both wins and loses, she took one of Wolfstar’s lives but she also retreated and was exiled for a moon. During that time she struggled without her clan and spent a lot of time around Jade’s sister, Sage, to keep an eye on Thornstrike.
When she returned from her exile she was a changed cat, she kept her head down in shame and spoke less to those around her. Clearstorm was her only friend and she kinda just locked in as a good warrior. She did what she was assigned to do, didn’t socialize, and didn’t act out.
Slowly she began to return to herself, her clan encouraging her to be her confident self again and she eventually became a really solid, trustworthy warrior. She’s probably gonna get an apprentice soon if she hasn’t already.
Sparkclaw now is probably her best self. She’s still loud and headstrong, but she knows when to pull herself back before another warrior needs to check her. She’s been more involved with helping keepers and artisans, telling everyone how difficult life is without even the barest of comforts when she was exiled, encouraging others to be kinder to the cats in these roles. She’s still kind of a dick to other clans, but that’s pretty normal for Duskclan or oakclan cats. Even helping out in the nursery, she puts her all into whatever task she’s given.
She also doesn’t tolerate any talk about Wolfstar, good or bad, she will discuss saltclan as a whole but she doesn’t want to get sucked back into that mindset she once had. At gatherings she is cordial but distant to Wolfstar- not that they were ever talking really- but she doesn’t even glance at her let alone make comments.
So yeah, she no longer hates her the way she did before, but she’s not exactly ‘over’ her yet. One day they might be able to have a convo about everything but neither of them are there yet.
Also yea, Wolfstar is aware of Sparkclaw’s feelings to an extent. Mallow told her about Spark having feelings for her as apprentices but she believed those feelings have passed, which they haven’t. Spark isn’t aware Wolf knows and Wolf doesn’t know about her current feelings.
I do like to think she maybe got a tiny crush on Sage while she was exiled but it’s not gonna go anywhere. I feel like she prefers mollies over toms.
She has had a few losses pregnancies (runs in the family unfortunately) with unknown sires and isn’t sure if she wants to try again. I don’t remember if her parents are alive still or not but I might make designs for them if I get a chance.

Sparkstar- A strong fiery leader who will never back down to a challange, but they will never pick a fight themselves. Only the unwise will pick a fight with this leader, their clan is the best trained and most battle ready in the forest, 14/10
Lightningthroat- A speedy and strong cat with a growl many compare to that of thunder, a fierce warrior with an undying loyalty to their clan, 14/10
Milkweedtail- This cat is considered wise throughout the forest, many will come to them for advice, and they will happily give them the advice they seek, they have many friends both within their clan and beyond, 13/10
Eagleheart- A strong warrior beloved by cats in their own clan, but feared by those outside it. Although never cruel they are a mighty warrior who will never show weakness, and will never fail to defend those weaker than themselves, 15/10
