We're just not what we used to be and I gotta accept that so we can be friends again

I hope we could be friends again.

But I don't know if that's healthy for me right now. I don't know how to tell when I'll be ready to send a message again. If I wait won't I just miss them more? And when they respond I'll realize how long the weeks actually were and it'll hurt. But if I did it now-

I'm not over them. They were a big part of my life, which is funny considering I never met them. I keep finding old posts or photos or screenshots and it makes me ache. But that's okay too. Maybe I was never a huge part of their life, but you know what, that's okay too! Because I was happy to have them be a part of mine.

I consider them my first real relationship. And I'm extremely grateful for that. They treated me well, they were wonderful, and I'm going to miss that version of us. But it still hurts.

So I'm going to wait. (If I wait too long will they forget about me?)

(I hope they don't.)
