It’s the anniversary of one of the worst days of Kris’s life, and Kris just wants to be left alone. Susie, however, wants to do anything except leave Kris alone. Perhaps the two can find a compromise of sorts…or perhaps just Kris will be the one yielding to Susie’s will.

Rusted Roses
Many years have passed since the fall of the hero Sonic the Hedgehog.
Dr. Robotnik has succeeded in taking over the world. Animals have been kidnapped. Factories were built everywhere. The environment is dying. The streets are full of patrolling robots. Anyone who disobeys…is never seen again.
Amy Rose was there that fateful day when Sonic was defeated — her knight in shining armor, the hero she was destined to meet, the boy who would change her life. He traded his life for hers — a total stranger.
She swore to never let that happen again.
The pink hedgehog took up her hammer and joined the rebellion against Eggman. She discarded her old life and her weaker self, now reborn as Rosy the Rascal, the Hammer Hero.
One day, when investigating some odd disturbances near one of the rebellion camps, she found that her old self was not the only one to have been discarded, and finds a damaged Metal Sonic, tossed aside now that he no longer serves his creator any purpose.
Despite their history, Rosy and Metal find themselves forming an uneasy truce for the sake of reaching their respective goals. Can they learn to trust each other? Or will the tension between the two of them lead to further despair?

Hello everyone! For those who don't know me, I'm SunlitSparks, though you can call me Sparkles (or Aster, or Sparks, or even Sunny LOL). I'm 22 and a bisexual demigirl that goes by they/them pronouns.
I’ve been a writer for around 14 years and though I've always liked to draw, I've never really considered myself an artist until maybe the last couple of years or so. Aside from that, I'm an avid video gamer, and hope to soon begin recording and streaming for YouTube and Twitch.
