When I joined Job's Daughters at age 11, I was terribly shy. I credit my experiences in that organization for bringing me out of my shell. This is my youngest child, Mimi, age 9, at her first Grand Bethel two nights ago. Clearly not a shy bone in her body as she darted out into the nearly empty arena floor following the variety show and started scooping up confetti and streamers left behind by the Grand Bethel Officers and then dancing with unbridled joy. My heart was singing as I watched her, and instead of snapping photos of the smiling girls who would form a conga line and dance past me in a few moments, this year I was able to grab on to my sweet daughter and dance along with her.
