omg ok saw your eylse/james photo and noticed you were wearing a vip badge and i was just wondering is it worth it???? i'm hoping to do vip next year as a bday present since rtx will be during my birth month but i know it's like.... ridiculously expensive so i'm hoping for your opinion???? totally ok if you don't feel comfortable talking about it or whatever though!!
off the bat i should just say that this is going to be long and also i might not be the best judge of whether or not it’s worth it because this was my first rtx so i have nothing to compare it to. i heard from someone who had been a vip the year before that it was very different (and i kept hearing that people thought they oversold)
panels: ok so i was able to do funhaus, cow chop, and red vs blue in one day, and in all of those panels i could see the stage well enough that i didnt have to look at the screens, which was amazing. i saw posts before rtx that said if you are a vip you can show up like fifteen-thirty minutes before a panel but that was definitely not the case for me (EXCEPT with cow chop and sugar pine 7 because they were a little bit smaller). some panels i showed up an hour to and hour and a half early to get good seats. still, i got seats to every single panel i wanted except for achievement hunter, which was understandable because i only left about half an hour before getting there because of the cow chop meetup. also, if i hadn’t had vip seating, i wouldnt have been two rows behind lindsay at d&d and i wouldnt have gotten a picture with her!!!!
signings: i know some of the signings literally sold out before they even went live for the regular weekend passes. i got my passes in the afternoon of the vip day and the michael/lindsay one was already sold out. basically if you want to meet founding fathers or achievement hunter at a signing, you need vip passes. theres a vip line for signings, which made the wait much shorter for elyse/james and bruce/adam but not matt/burnie because literally everyone in line was a vip lol (if youre a vip you get two codes, but i did three signings because my brother gave me his)
vip party: this was the sweatiest experience of my life. the staff section was separate but a couple of people were mingling (almost all of funhaus, barbara, jon, miles, jeremy, treyco, and a couple others.) i’ve heard from others that more had been in years past but i was still pretty happy with that because i essentially got to meet every member of funhaus at some point during rtx
vip lounge: tbh i only went in there once because there wasn’t much to do, but apparently some people got to talk to burnie in there
floor: i heard that friday was a disaster but i honestly have no idea because i was doing panels all day. they made it so that there was no vip entrance line the next day, but when i went at 10am, i only waited in line for a max of five minutes before getting in. vips don’t have to wait in line for the store, which is helpful af.
tldr: if you can afford it, it’s definitely worth it. the priority seating ensures that you get good seats, as long as you show up early enough

Personally, I’d always see the 17/18 trophies and think of it as incomplete. I would just finish the game, take a break and then start over on proud.

my friend did the first option when she looked over the trophies again haha
when she finished did she feel the appropriate sense of accomplishment or was there a gnawing empty space in her chest filled with regrets and disappointment
