In this video I show my natural hair after a thermal press and hydration. Once per year I go to a professional to straighten my natural curly hair! I had 1.5 inches trimmed off...that hair was weathered! I've been natural since 9/11/09. I went to a salon and the stylist washed, hydrated and did a thermal press. These are the results. Whoever is running the marketing and communication for FCS needs to be fired! Still no response or updates to parents', no "thank you" to the teachers', administrators', bus drivers' and those that stayed later with the children, no school updates on the overnight stays, security, food, safety of the little ones'...nothing from the superintendent...if you're not going to read AND respond to the FB comments why have the page? Social media is a 2 way street! Get a social media manager and learn how to communicate and engage with the community! Last post 15 HOURS ago...seriously...this should have been handled better and still you all do NOTHING! I am a parent of 3 and we live in Fulton county. My high schoolers' came home early and about 20 minutes after they arrived I received an email message from their principal. My disappointment and frustration came from the lack of communication from the district. At 1:45 p.m. I received an email from the principal and @10 minutes later a phone message from the school. I have only been in this state 3 years' and never experienced snow here. It's snow and I get that they weren't prepared and no one could have predicted this YET as a former middle school teacher I thought that the buses were already at the schools waiting for the children. When I taught if we announced early dismissal the buses where always outside of the school waiting for the children to board. Well, this was not the case. This, I believe, is where the confusion began. An hour after my son's usual time of arrival I began wondering where his bus was. Also, FCS never responded, updated or even gave information about 1) the school buses 2) schools that had students 3) timely updates about which buses were in route 4) students that were released to walk home and much more. The only communication I received from the district was a call that the 29th was cancelled. That's where the failure has come in...the district only has only had 4 FB status updates and the last was 7 hours ago and no updates on their website. Oh and as for student's staying home there are quizzes, tests and papers that teachers' won't accept for unexcused absences per the "policy" of the district. Anyways, there is no excuse for children arriving home 11 HOURS later and spending the night at a school. FCS if you would have done a better job communicating with the parents' then many of us wouldn't have been so upset. Hire staff that knows how to communicate effectively on social media and respond to posts, comments and could have provided #'s etc. Special thank you to Mrs. Crumbley and Ritu Ahuja from Centennial and Northwood elementary and the staff for the calls and multiple emails. My neighbors' were amazing too as we all came together to get our children home.

In this video I share my views about divorcing your unsupportive spouse...this is one of the top questions I get in my inbox, messages, etc...I teach part-time entrepreneurs how to convert their passion into profits and make their first $1000 online. I will be working with 1000 part-time entrepreneurs this year - will you be one of them? What are you willing to sacrifice for your dreams...or the dreams of others? In 2010 my husband had a dream of opening a gym in Atlanta, GA. We discussed it and prayed. It made sense to move yet it was very difficult. The home I built was just 2 years old...I had children...my job, friends and church home were in Jacksonville. I had lived there 10 years! Well...I invested my savings and we moved. 8 months later the gym closed and our marriage nearly fell apart. We cried...a lot...we learned...a lot...we dug deeper, loved more and both became more passionate. I wrote off $44,000 the following year on my taxes. Yet, neither one of us gave up on dreaming. We both still have businesses and now we have a clearer plan, focus and path. Never give up dreaming! If at first you don't succeed keep dreaming!
