THE MUN’S INTERPRETATION | ACCEPTING
♚ Do you agree with fandom interpretation of your character?
Oh where do I start……… I agree with parts of it. First, I agree with him being shy and awkward when he has interest in someone, it’s what we see of him in the game. He’s also the sunshine boy, the cheerful boy, who’s always there for the others.
HOWEVER… I hated how Ignis and him are being feminized by the fandom. I’ll talk for Prompto because my muse is Prompto, but I could do totally the same for Iggy which I love so damn much too. It’s not because Prompto loves to take pictures, to sing and to show his feelings that he’s not masculine. It’s so important for men in our society to see men in the medias who are not afraid to show their feelings and to talk about them like Prompto does. It is normal for men too to have feelings, and to be touchy with each other too. They can touch each other without it being sexual, just like girls with each other or a boy and a girl together. Physical touches are not always meant to be sexual, and Prompto IS touchy. He will always be, but he doesn’t want to bang everyone for this.
And again, because he shows his feelings, it doesn’t mean he’s gay. Showing his friends he cares has absolutely nothing to do with his sexual orientation. That goes of every character out there, not just for Prompto.
✘ Any unpopular opinions about your muse?
PLATONIC RELATIONSHIPS ARE SO DAMN IMPORTANT, JUST AS MUCH AS ROMANTIC ONES. My Prompto is straight because this is how I see him in the game, but even if he wasn’t, I wouldn’t ship him with Noctis, Ignis and Gadio, just like I don’t ship him with Aranea either. Deep friendships is so underrated on this website, and it really makes me sad.
Also, even if Prompto doesn’t disagree often with his friends, I feel like he would tell him if what they say really bothers him. And this is because he cares about them, not because he’s mad at them. For example, in Chapter 10, when Gladio doesn’t want Iggy to continue the journey, Prompto states that Ignis is the one who has to choose. He’s not mad at Gladio, but for him, it is important to say it. And because he doesn’t disagree often, I feel like what he says could influence the others a lot more than he thinks.
I answered the other one here :)
