Through these Retrospecs
and through my mask
Ever since the S4 had met their collective defeats against Blue Team, Specs had been seeing them around much more often. Usually by themselves-- they hardly traveled in pairs. He had the sneaking suspicion that they hated each other, only ever working together when absolutely critical.
Or when they were meeting with Blue Team.
Goggles had taken it upon himself to invite the S4 around regularly, simply putting it down to “he made too much food for dinner so we’re sharing!”
Specs was not inclined to point out the flaws in that. You can only make so many extra servings before it got suspicious, after all. After a while, however, the “spontaneous” get-togethers weren’t so bad.
They were nearly enjoyable.
Army and Headphones had a surprising match up-- both shared analytical prowess that even Specs lacked.
Bobble meshed well, somehow, with Skull and Aloha both, the sheer dichotomy of it all threatening to blast Specs’ mind.
Goggles-- well, he’s Goggles, so he got along with everybody. He was the one to sit Specs down beside Mask and tell them to “get to know each other.” Easier said than done, Goggs.
Jokes on you, Goggles. I’m scared witless of everybody here!
