I've seen it noticed that many who are monitoring the toxicity of ships out there like Cartters love to share Dip fanart, funny because Dip is literally the abusive couple where Damien uses Pip to get what he wants, the same label they insist try to put on Cartters, where they ignore that Cartman and Butters in canon have already overcome almost all of the toxic phase issues they've had in the past, while Dip in canon has only had an abusive relationship, where their only interaction ends with Damian humiliating, burning alive, and sending Pip to hell (literally) just for him to get into a birthday party, yet everyone loves Dip, sharing cute fanarts and fanfics, and the same people go around cursing and being morality inspectors on ships like Cartters, showing that the fandom takes fanfics more seriously than the official show.
