the problem with getting your work done ahead of time is the ominous feeling that you should absolutely be so so busy with the thing that's the busiest thing you've ever busied. and yet.
I also write fanfiction. The vast majority of my work is a collaborative series called "A Victim of Stars" with my comrade in penmanship Ostheim89. Coming up on 290,000 words of SIGNALIS fanfic at this point, but I also have little side projects the crop up every now and then for what I'm getting into, like Black Lagoon or something (which could never be aired today).
Specifically, A Victim of Stars largely pertains to "The Herald and Her Knight" and "The Knight Errant", detailing the events after SIGNALIS's Lily ending as Ariane Yeong and Elster grapple with the reality of the mess they are left with (or have made, depending on perspective).
