2 (a kiss goodnight) for any of your Speaker ships?
Thank you for this <3
Prompt list
2. a kiss goodnight
It had been a tiring day. It was not an easy case they had found themselves in, but even so, today was particularly long. Yoshiko could not wait to fall into bed--but neither could she afford to show how much the day had affected her until the others were safely in their rooms and ready to sleep. Her sister was exhausted, and their colleagues--friends--were in varying states of caffeine highs and utter exhausted delirium.
She was glad when Azalea began to aid her efforts to get the others to sleep, even if the two of them still could not make eye contact.
Yoshiko frowned. A slight press of her lips compared to her normal face, but an expression her sister at least would notice. It took her a moment to admit that she did, in fact, feel a kernel of guilt. Azalea had tried, kindly, to hold Yoshiko's hand while they were gathering information from someone who might know something that day, and Yoshiko had reflexively stepped away, afraid to show her weakness, her abnormality, in front of a stranger. Azalea's frown had distracted her through the rest of the conversation.
She could still feel it.
sometimes reworking Speaker’s code is like “time to make this much less complicated, and plant some tags that’ll make it easier to callback to in the future”
and sometimes it’s more like “so there’s already 5 versions of this scene, but what if there were 9 versions”
Hello :) So Azalea proved to be louder than Liam XD (Actually the nature proved to be louder, because I really wanted to draw flowers and grass and all). Sorry for the giant shining sun, I drew it to help with shading and light, but in the end I quite liked it and decided to just let it be.
I had lots of fun while drawing the background, it reminded me a little when I was a child and would draw it below every single character I sketched XD And drawing the bush proved to be really calming experience. I will definitely draw sth similar at some point.
(I actually have this mental image of Nev and Gwen in the forest just talking, taking pictures of landscape and enjoying each other’s company in tranquility, but I have already drawn them both not long ago, so I will try to restrain myself XD)
This is my first time drawing a character with dark skin, and I am rather self conscious whenever I did well. (Actually before I also drew my Morrowind MC - Raynith, who is a Dunmer with dark blue skin, but it is not the same as brown so).
I am quite proud of her face though, I really like how it looks. Especially eyes and freckles.
Next time I will probably draw either Liam or Rory. I love Liam and I really want to draw him, but I am quite intimidated by his all black clothes XD I don’t know whenever I will be able to shade it well. And I have a phase for drawing curly hair (they are easier XD), so Rory is in the lead XD But I am still unsure if I would prefer to draw M!Rory or F!Rory.
Tough choice XD
And well, if you don’t know who it is then it’s Azalea Mirin from WIP Interactive Novel „Speaker” by @speakergame, I really recommend you to check it out.

Ooh, thank you! I want to answer this about Yoshiko from @speakergame because I haven't written about her nearly enough, and I want to flesh her out.
The High Priestess: How does your muse make decisions? Do they trust their instinct or would they rather trust their heart/their logic? Yoshiko would like to believe she uses her head, but the truth is that her logic is mostly born of fear, so in reality, it's her heart. The problem is that she tends to trust her heart more when she doesn't realize she's doing it. When it comes to things like friendship and romance, she'll often purposefully ignore her heart, but again, this is based mostly in fear--for herself and for her twin.
The Hermit: How introspective is your muse? How often do they self-reflect? Yoshiko tries to be introspective. She spends a lot of time trying to judge whether she's doing the right thing and coming to terms with the harder parts of the life she leads as a result of the curse on her family. She would rather think about herself than talk to other people--but actually facing herself is very difficult.
The Tower: What event drastically changed your muse’s life? Do they resent that event or are they glad of it? Well, up until very recently in the game, Yoshiko would have said the thing that most changed her life was their parents leaving them alone. She was never all that close with them, but it was more because their relationship was one of polite respect on both sides rather than deep emotional nurturing, and for them to just suddenly leave their daughters placed the actual weight of the Seer's curse into very sharp relief. The curse was something that was capable of great destruction, pulling their family apart instead of drawing them together in the face of danger. Yoshiko became even more determined to hold onto her sister, Mihoshi, after that point. She does still resent her parents for leaving, especially as their lives have recently become so difficult and stressful, and the people Yoshiko believed should have been there for them were all the way on the other side of the country. (She will come to be very grateful for the intervention of Mama Cowles, although right now she feels like the interference of their neighbors is some kind of affront to whether or not she is capable of protecting her sister personally.)
