Favorite moment in class today: all three of us answered a question in unison. No hesitation, or gestures of, "No, you go."
We just full on chorused it up.
#class#chorus#class dynamic#speaking of classes#tomorrow i'm doing a class and the topic is compound words#i was asked by the main teacher to think up a list of compound words (slang or otherwise)#turns out i thought of a lot of compound words involving curse words#i will of course ask the teacher if she thinks it would be appropriate to share those before i do#but i'm a little interested to see what the students reactions would be#and of course the linguist inside me is like 'yes! teach all variations of language for it#is all equal!'#but the realist inside me is like 'you would be giving a powerful weapon to those who#are probably too young to know what to do with it'#why did this come up?#because i tried very hard to write that last line without cursing#i like to keep the cusses away from the blog#due to my audience of adult friends/relatives who read this blog#just an fyi for the newer followers#hello and welcome to you all!#(and yes i have looked at your blog because this website is a two-way thing a ma bob)#hmm i seem to be very much into the tag rants today...
