I’ve been having a hard time finding the words to properly express my feelings during this time. But it didn’t feel right to stay silent. I realize my privileged perspective doesn’t actually matter, this isn’t about me. At the end of the day, I am a white female living in a white dominated society and the injustice and trauma POC face every day just for simply being black is not my personal experience and not one I am capable to talk on. However, there is still so much we can do. If you are a white person and are uneducated about the history of racism, the stories being told by the POC community right now needs to be heard by you. It’s time to speak less and listen more. To the people of color: I‘m listening, I feel you, I see you and I stand with you. My words don’t matter, but your words do. It’s okay if you aren’t privileged enough to donate, but you are likely privileged enough to listen, educate, learn, support, encourage, hold space & compassion. You can take that education and use that wisdom to evolve the future of this world. All in the midst of this pandemic, the Earth is telling us, crying out to us, that it is a potent and precious time for deep change. Thoughts create vibration and vibration brings action which is what brings change to the world. We all hold the power to do this, together, collectively, and we are way overdo. I am holding space and holding the heart of every person of color and everyone facing injustice. I have chosen to donate in the ways I am most passionate, by putting my skills to use and making & donating masks to the black community specifically. Please use the comment section below to post whatever black history or educational resources you’d like to share, donation centers, or tag black artists that we can show support to. #blacklivesmatter #blm #amplifymelanatedvoices #endracism #listenmore #speakless https://www.instagram.com/p/CA6NilSHoKX/?igshid=s4r4hk9pvl4g
