I woke up with this scene in my head, because Spring Princess Camilla (who I got like TWO HOURS before the end of Spring Festival) says something about how dark and cold their realm is and OH NO I HAVE CREEPYSIBS FEELINGS AGAIN

(context: if I was to write this, the idea is that there was an attempted assassination of Camilla and Xander has brought her the younger three Nohr sibs because she can’t rest unless she sees they’re all right. and they’re all sleeping in the same bed. Xander is about eighteen, so age down from there.)

"Elise was there," said Camilla. Her voice was quiet, but very hard and cold.

Xander's hand paused for a moment. He reached over and touched Elise's cheek very delicately. She felt very warm and precious under his fingers. "There will be an example made.”

Leo lifted his head. "I want to help," he said.

"No, darling," said Camilla.

"I'm old enough now," he said. In the dim light his eyes were very dark. His voice was as cold as Camilla's. "They made Elise cry, didn't they? They scared her."

Xander and Camilla looked at each other, then down at Elise and Corrin, still sound asleep in the center of the bed.
