I will be going back to school in less than a week and students will be back in less than 2 weeks. I'm sharing my classroom wishlist for anyone who wishes to donate. Any donations would be incredibly appreciated! Thank you!

A Thought About the WONDERFUL Aides
So it is November and I’ve been at my new school since August. In my current position, I see EVERY SINGLE student in the school. I LOVE it. I was nervous about not having my “own kids” but honestly it’s just more love.
Anyway, I work with students with Moderate to Severe disabilities. I have never worked with this population in my entire career and/or LIFE. So I was a little nervous starting out, but I have truly grown to love my Friday hour with them. Mostly because of the AMAZING aides that come with them.
They know these kids so well. They know what that particular scream from my student that is nonverbal means. They know that my student with Down Syndrome didn’t get much sleep this week because his dad is out of town and his mom is struggling with taking care of the family. They know what to do when one of my students starts screaming out of the blew.
They know what to do when one student gets frustrated and hits another student. They know how to calm a student down. They know how to make a student feel safe and loved. They simply know.
I would not be able to do my job without them. They are so under-apperceived, under-valued, and underpaid.
Hug an aide whenever you get a chance.
