✶ Twilight Sparkle redesign ✶

Wanted to do some mlp redesigns… I started with twilight since she’s my favorite!! (I’m still fighting artblock tho so no guarantees I’ll do the others)

Some design notes under the cut!

✶ Twilight has some freckles and swirls now that resemble the stars and clouds of the sky to show her connection to the princesses (and because it fits her name). Her horn also comes out of a star shaped forehead marking now that resembles the cutie mark

✶ she has a unicorn tail now and puts up her hair in a bun to help her concentrate, though I kept the hime cut of her fringe in the front

✶ gave her some clothes that would suggest she is Celestia's pupil. I think clothes are pretty underutilized in canon (especially since Rarity is literally a clothing designer and seamstress), so I went with the idea that clothes are optional and seen as a status symbol since that is already kind of the case in canon. Twilight could afford these kind of clothes and would want to show that she takes her position seriously. Her vest, shirt and bow are inspired by her outfit in equestria girls and the hairclip and book bag are given to her by Celestia

✶ she doesn't wear pants or a skirt to show her cutie mark, which I changed to a book with floating stars and magic coming out of it to show not only her connection to the mane six, but also her eagerness to learn and perform magic
