Au where Dorian's family owns Leto instead of Danarius. They treat him kindly and Dorian falls in love with him. Dorian frees him from slavery and the two leave Tevinter so they may be together without Leto being ridiculed for being an elf. Dorian and Leto join the inquisition in hopes of bettering Tevinter or finding a place where they can call home and be with one another happily. The two staying with the Inquisition at Skyhold because Leto enjoys learning how to fight from Bull and Cullen and becomes friends with the Chargers. They make a difference and that's what they wanted. They are happy together and not fearful anyone will harm them or ridicule them for their love. They feel like they belong and it means the world to them. To be able to curl up in bed with one another without fear that someone will walk in and drag one of them from the bed. They can show pride in their love for one another and know that others will support them. It's a reality they feared would never happen. And one Dorian wishes to see in his homeland one day. Finally got around to sitting down and writing it out. Damn I hate having 2 sick kids at the same time. Haha. But... I like the idea of Fenris/Leto not ever having to go through the torture he did, not ever having to be burdened by what he has gone through. I reblogged that pic of Dorian/Leto but never got the chance to write this down. Haha. I don't like slave au... not a fan of them. I just can't do it.

Dorian sitting at a small wooden table Blackwall had made for Genevieve, sipping on imaginary tea and poised in one of the tiny chairs. Cullen trying to sit opposite of him and Genevieve, his armor clanking as he tries to get comfortable, ending up falling out of the chair at least three times. More tea, father? She asks, holding up a teapot and giggling at Cullen, and Dorian smiling before nodding. Why yes, I think I will, thank you darling. Cullen grumbling as he finally is able to park his behind in the chair. Tiny things are not meant for Commanders...

Cullen watching with a small smile on his face as Genevieve giggles and squeals while Sienna and Somniari chase after her, playing a game of tag. Sienna comes in and taps her with her paw before darting away and barking. Genevieve squeals and spins around, rushing towards the mabari, only to change course and run to Cullen, tapping him and yelling Tag! You're it!

Genevieve giggling as she tucks both Dorian and Cullen in as both of them are curled up in the bed sleeping, exhausted from their days. Kissing their foreheads after crawling up into bed and onto them. Love you Papa, love you father... It's whispered before she's skipping out of the room and heading to find Uncle Krem and Uncle Bully. They'll watch her while her daddies are resting.

Cullen sitting on the side of the bed as Dorian is buried in blankets, looking dreadful as he moans and tries to bury himself even more. Dorian moaning about dying and Cullen chuckling and shaking his head. You're not dying, you just have a cold from not wearing warmer clothing. Dorian glaring at him and causing Cullen to laugh even more at the bleary look he receives from the mage.

Dorian watching from the ramparts as Cullen trains the recruits, becoming to hot to wear his armor. As the Commander starts stripping, he leans a little more against the stone, becoming comfortable and enjoying the view from above.

Cullen watching in horror as Genevieve shows Papa and Father what she learned to do with Uncle Bully... Placing a barrier around herself and running towards Bull, who was waiting with a shield. Cullen clutching a giggling Genevieve to his chest as Dorian berates Bull. A child! A mage... My daughter!

Dorian teaching Genevieve how to use lightning. Training on recruits that have fallen asleep while Cullen is lecturing them. Cullen continuing to bellow but smirking as one recruits screams out and jumps. Genevieve giggling and rushing off and back to Dorian, beaming. A resounding Very well done echoing around the training grounds and causing many to laugh.

Cullen skipping with Genevieve as she holds his hand, counting their steps and singing a little tune in her head as she smiles. His recruits all stopping to stare during their patrols or their breaks or training. Some laughing and pointing. Cullen remembers their faces and gives them hell the next day. No one... No one makes fun of him for being "Best Dad in all of Skyhold" - a medal that the Inquisitor himself made specifically for him.

Cullen reading over missives and paperwork at his desk as Genevieve braids his hair. She's babbling and giggling in her little girlish way, squealing as she puts in flowers, and he just grunts and doesn't look up, doesn't even realize. Hours later, as he's walking through his lines of recruits, yelling about the shields in their hands and how they should use them, he doesn't understand why so many of them are snorting and trying to contain their laughter and straight faces.

Dorian watching with hidden mirth as Genevieve skips around in a new dress Josephine was able to barter for them. It's a beautiful baby blue and white, and she's so proud to be wearing it. The next day he's still watching with hidden mirth as she's tromping around in boots with a wooden shield and toy sword, yelling at invisible enemies and lighting practice dummies on fire. I taught her that control he tells Krem, who's laughing softly at the fearsome Charger in training.

Dorian listening to Cullen singing to Genevieve at night, the lullaby soft and sweet, his voice something that lulls her to sleep. He watches as she curls up against Cullen, her little fist curling into his tunic as she yawns and closes her eyes.

Genevieve Alia Pavus-Rutherford.

Princess to Cullen. Ginny or Genevieve to Dorian.

Cassandra calls her Alia "Alia is a more regal name for her...". Varric calls her Curls Junior "She's Curls's daughter through and through...". Cole calls her many different names: "It depends on the day... She likes different things." Blackwall calls her little lioness: "She stalks Skyhold for her next prey...". Bull calls her cub: "She's your daughter, Blondie... You're the lion of Skyhold, so of course she's a cub...". Sera calls her Vivvy: "Hehehehe... Vivvy-wivvy!". Viviene calls her Genevieve: "It is only proper, darling."

When she's in trouble the entire name comes out:

"Genevieve Alia Pavus-Rutherford you get your little behind back here at once!" That's when she knows she should run and hide.

I'll start using it in my headcanons now. mwahaha.
