I've had a lovely morning talking about my foster care and kinship care children's books with a group of kinship carers, special guardians, foster carers and other awesome people at the Family and Friends Carers Kinship group in Milton Keynes. Introducing another character for "Room in the Nest" my next children's story, about foster care. This is a grandmother magpie, who will be raising her grandchildren as a kinship carer, after their brief stint in foster care. "Room in the Nest" will be published in September.
