This might be a dumb idea but I hope you find it as funny as I do
Basically a Starlo x fem human reader where after the reader had disappeared for a few days (they have a soul trait ability that is stealth based like invsablity) they show up with a kid (clover). Now here is where the humor kicks in.... hopefully, Starlo thinks that clover is somehow a human monster hybrid cause well they look human but also has a cowboy look to them as well which he thinks is from him . This would then lead to the reader explaining that no he hasn't been failing as dad, clover isn't even related to either of them, and that when the reader heard about possible sightings of a human child they went to investigate and decided to bring them here since it would most likely be the safest place. Anyway sometime later the reader is helping clover get ready for bed while Starlo and the rest of the feisty gang are talking about the possibility of a human monster hybrid being able to exist. One spicy comment or joke (most likely from mooch) leads to Starlo quickly turning into a blushing stammering mess, he tries to regain composure as the reader walks back into the room.
Even if you decide not to write this I hope you found this dumb idea funny too!
This isn't dumb- this is SOOOOO cute ToT >////<
We love wholesome content here~!
- Fbihseihfaiehfbiaef I got carried away with this
I wanted to draw more but I already spent too long writing this.
For the sake of this lil story, ignore everything that happens with Ceroba, Chujin, and Kanako- They're not that important for this ToT
Let’s just say that they moved to Hotlands
Every moment with you
Makes me wonder how the rest of our future will go
You and Starlo weren’t a subtle couple.
Starlo was the flirty cowboy who always spoke to you as if it was your first date again
You were the calm provider. Making sure that your oblivious boyfriend only does stupid shit, and not crazy stupid shit.
You two were a power couple. A real love story that others envied. Of course, that's because you're a human from the surface world, and he's a monster sealed underground.
It happened almost 13 years ago when you fell. You were 16 at the time, walking around adventuring. But soon fell into the underground. You met Toriel, lived in the ruins for a while before leaving to venture into Snowdin. But something happened. You were crossing a bridge when you ran into a small monster family. They thought you were going to hurt them so they cut the bridge you were on, and you ended up falling into the lower levels of snowdin. It was much colder. You didn't want to stay there long.
Thats when your magic activated. Yes you were from a mage family but you were never able to use magic before. Your soul shone blue. Everyone in your family had the same trait so you knew what it was. It was Integrity. There were many kinds of specialties for traits. And your family in particular specialized in stealth. You don't remember who in your family created it. But you remembered how your father phrased it.
"You know how people tend to hide the truth from others? Thats pretty much us. As expected from a group of traitors..."
Traitors... Your great ancestors were traitors to the other mages because they helped a monster. You didn't think it mattered until you actually were able to use magic.
For half a year you practiced on your own. Since that moment in upper Snowdin, you were nervous that other monsters would attack you for being human. That's when you made it to the Wild East. You made a home in a cliffside for one and a half years. You thought you were okay. Using your stealth magic to find tools in order to survive.
But then you met him. Starlo... While going back to your hideout, you found him sitting near your base. Sitting at the edge of the cliff. He was ranting out loud about how he wanted things to be just a little more interesting while reading wild west comic books and holding movie DVDs. Foolishly, you tried to sneak into your base, but Starlo, being a monster, sensed your magic and shot up.
"Who's there! S-Show yourself!" Both of you froze up. Starlo was nervously holding his stuff and you were nervously holding your chest. Both of you were scared of each other. And sensing no other choice. You slowly stopped using your magic. As your form slowly became visible, Starlo stared.
The dress shirt and buttoned up blazer, along with the overalls you wore.... Starlo stared at his comics. One of the characters on the cover had the same outfit you wore. "Are you a cowboy?" Starlo instinctively asked. You on the other hand, couldn't be more confused.
"You... don't want me dead?"
Everything started there. Starlo would come visit you almost every day for at least an hour. You would hear about everything he did and him to you. Develop the Wild East, create an actually posse, bring more joy and entertainment to everyone. In return, you confirmed almost everything in his comics, about horses and cowboys and lassoing criminals and bandits.
Until eventually, a few years later, he confessed to you. You happily accepted and he led you to visit him parents and friends.
Of course, you were nervous. But Starlo assured you that they were nice and have been wanting to meet you for a while. And when you did, he was right. They absolutely loved you. You formally moved in with him in the Wild East and you were sort of like the Feisty Five's secretary.
A year after that, Starlo put a ring on it and you became the first married couple within the Wild East. You had your own place near the Feisty Four's place, a cute childish husband who cares so much, and friends who don't mind you being human and don't report you to higher ups.
And that brings you both to today.
"Stardust" You called out to Starlo using a cheesy nickname. "Yes?" He happily came to you like a happy puppy. "I'm just heading out for a bit okay? Probably might visit the ruins." "The ruins? But you'd go through Snowdin won't you? Want me to come?" You smiled at his protectiveness. "Don't worry. Ace is coming with me. He said was going to meet someone in Snowdin anyways so he offered me to follow him to a shortcut." Starlo nodded. "Ah- Right. I forgot about your talent, partner" He happily smothered you in a hug and kissed your face all over. "Hehe~ Oh c'mon. stooop" You two romantically said your goodbyes and you started making your way to meet up with Ace.
A few days passed. Ace had already came back. Starlo knew you tended to take a few days to explore. He trusted that other monsters wouldn't touch what's his. He made sure to rub off his scent all over you like a dog after all. But still.... what if.
At the saloon, Starlo was pouting, glaring at the drink he was given. "[Y/n] went out on their adventure again ey North Star?" Starlo pouted. "Did you know North Star was one of the first nicknames [Y/n] gave me?" The barkeep sighed and put up a sign.
[Warning: North Star misses [Y/n]. ]
Everyone knew what that sign meant. The first time it happened, Starlo ranted on and on about how great you were and how sappy you two were at home. It was cute the first few times. A married couple is nice and all. But a human and monster is new. So monsters eagerly listened to his stories...
Until each story became four... almost five hours each.....
So no monster approached Starlo unless they were eager to waste four hours. Since there was no one else to listen, Starlo just started ranting to himself. Unfortunately, those in the Saloon were all victims. They didn't want to leave because if they did, they knew Starlo would get sad and complain to you. And they did not want to deal with that... The last guy who did ended up being taught a lesson for a whole day...
But then a brave soul burst through the salon doors. "[Y/N]'S BACK WITH A KID!!!" Everyone paled and turned their gaze to Starlo.
But he was already gone and out the door.
After you bid goodbye to Ace, you went around through Snowdin using your magic. The news that you and Starlo were married already travelled, and those in Snowdin were already against it. So you still had to hide from them.
"Have you heard......" You passed by a couple of monsters. You would heard some tea about certain things but most of the time you didnt pay attention. ".....A human was spotted in the ruins." You stopped and paused. A human? No..... Maybe they were talking about you when you were younger. "Yeah. The one that got married to a monster the Wild East right?" That's what you thought....
“No. A new one. They looked like they were from the dunes too.”
A new one? You stayed for a little longer to hear the rest of the conversation. When you got enough information, you ran towards the entrance to the ruins. They weren’t blocked like when you came. You did block it again but it was equivalent to a chair lodged in a doorknob. Slowly, you moved your makeshift barrier and entered the ruins again.
You greatly slowed your movements and wandered through the home of Dalv. You’ve never formally made his acquaintance. But you’ve heard his name around in Snowdin.
You snuck out of Dalv's house, only to freeze. 'They're fighting right outside his place of residence???' You thought in confusion as you saw Dalv throwing Lightning Bolts at a child.
You raised your hand, prepared to help the kid out. Only to see them shaking hands. ‘Ummm….. what????’ They went into Dalv’s house and you followed as the kid explored. Dalv was just letting this kid walk around and peacefully gave commentary on things the kid was about to touch.
Something about it brought back memories of you and Starlo in your younger days. You just watched as they bonded and before long, the human left, thats when you heard his name. Clover.
As the kid left the ruins. You slowly undid your magic and tapped the kid on the sholder. "Hey..."
Clover was shocked to see another human. Especially one that looekd like an adult.
He gave you a shocked look. As if asking what you were doing here. "Okay. Put it simply. I'm [Y/n]. Been here for years, fell in love with a monster, got married, and now I just live in the Wild East" Clover tilted his head confused. "Oh yeah. You probably just got here. The Wild East is sort of like..... How do I put this...... Texas?" That seemed to be more understanding to a kid. Clover lit up and nodded. "What? You wanna go see it?" You asked, to which Clover nodded enthusiastically.
You laughed and headed up to the closest UGPS station and asked the mail whale to take you to the one by Starlo's family farm. Clover was nervous, clinging to you the whole time. So you had to reassure him that everything was going to be alright. 'What a sweet kid!' You thought as Clover clung to you nervously.
When you got down, you thanked the Mail Whale and started heading towards the Wild East. There, you saw some monsters scatter towards the saloon. Confused, you just led Clover to the center of Town.
"I can't wait for you to meet my husband. He's just as much of a cowboy fan as-"
You and Clover tensed as the entrance to the Saloon were slammed open. There, Starlo was, staring at you and Clover in shock.
You were about to greet him, but Starlo shot towards you two like a bullet and knelt down to Clover, grabbing his face, examining his clothing and appearance. “Partner…….” Starlo started off. Sounding shocked and devastated. “Is….. is he mine?” You tilted your head confused. “Wha— Star-“
Starlo raced to you and held your shoulders firm. “H-have you been raising him by yourself??! Why didn’t you tell me! T-the gang and I could’ve— have I been a bad husband..? Is that why you had the need to take our kid by yourself??!” Starlo was talking so fast you couldn’t catch a single sentence. “Oh my stars— A bad husband and a bad father??? What would Ceroba and Chujin think of me now…. And Kanako??? Would she even wanna see her favorite uncle again??”
“Starlo!” You slapped both hands against his face. (idiot sandwich style) He stared at you, still frowning. “North Star….” He shyly corrected. Since some monsters were watching, you guessed that he wanted to keep his cowboy persona. You sigh. “North Star. The kid isn’t related to us.” That seemed to make Starlo pause. “He isn’t…?” You shook your head no and proceeded to tell him about how you heard about rumors about him in Snowdin and went to explore those rumors in the ruins.
From there, Starlo slid onto his knees, hugging your waist. Before saying the cutest thing you thought you've ever heard.
"Can we treat the kid as our own then...?"
You wanted to agree right away. But everything was up to Clover if he even wanted to stay here. "You're going to have to ask Clover about that. They are human. What if they want to go home?" Starlo got back up and marched straight towards Clover. He leaned in close and started whispering. You wanted to get closer to hear what they were saying but Starlo just held his hand up 'Talk to the hand' style.
You were a bit peeved but all of a sudden Clover happily threw his arms around Starlo's neck.
"Thats my boy! I'll make sure the Wild East will be the best place to raise my son!"
Well.... now you have a child.
The rest of the day was spent :
Showing Clover around the Wild East (Suggested by the Feisty gang)
Teaching him how to fire a six shooter (Courtesy of North Star. North Star will be punished later)
How to deal with bandits (Taught by you)
How to not be a nuisance to vendors (Forced lesson by Blackjack)
It was a fun day until the night hit.
Well... technically there wasn't a proper day-night cycle for the underground but yours and Clover's internal clock told otherwise.
"C'mon kiddo, we're going to bed" You picked up Clover and went to yours and Starlo's home. Clover struggled a tiny bit, being a child, he wanted to stay up late.
You went upstairs to put Clover to bed, and as you left, the gang decided it would be he perfect time to tease Starlo.
"Soo... boss." Edward started. Starlo turned over to the bigger monster. "What is it? Ed?" He huffed, wanting to spend time with his wife and newly adopted human child.
"Are you and [Y/n] planning to have any actual kids?"
Starlo tipped over nothing and planted face first into the floor. He didn't bother to get up, instead he pulled his hat off and set it off to the side. "Hey Ed. Watch it." Ace sighed. "Yeah Ed, everyone knows that humans and monsters cant procreate." Morray explained. "Huh? What do you mean? They probably could." Ed challenged. "But they're a human and monster. There's no way." Morray huffed. "Hey Star..." Mooch sat next to Starlo, who was still laid on the floor. "Have you and [Y/n] ever even fuc-" Starlo screamed like a banshee and shot up like a cat who saw a cucumber.
"DO NOT FINISH THAT SENTENCE MOOCH!" Starlo yelled and covered his hands over Mooch's already scarf covered mouth. Mooch laughed happily. Meanwhile, you descended down the stairs. "Guys. Whats with all the noise?" Starlo perked up as you came. "Partner! We were just-" "Starlo wants to fu-" Before Mooch could finish her sentence, Starlo grabbed his by her scarf. "PILLOW!" He ordered. Morray ran to the couch, pulled off a pillow and handed it to Starlo. Who then proceeded to shove into Mooch's face.
".....What??????" You gave a confused look as you watched Mooch get fake suffocated. "It's nothing my love" Starlo casually went to your side as Mooch fell to the floor unconscious. "Come, let's put Clover to bed" He smiled and walked upstairs as if nothing happened. You just stared at the scene, confused before following our husband up the stairs.
Starlo was already speaking to Clover in his 10 minute makeshift bed. (Just consisted of a large box with a ton of clothes and covered with a blanket.)
"So how did ya like the East so far, Clover?"
The small tiny human gave a happy smile, and made a noise similar to a squeaky toy. You chuckled and sat on the other side. "It's not much, but it's something." You took off Clover's hat and ruffled his hair. "Goodnight Kid. Maybe tomorrow we could wrangle a bandit tomorrow." Starlo pulled the blanket over Clover and the kid happily snuggled to the blanket.
"When can we have our own...?"
I spent a tad too long procrastinating lol.
I kiiiinda wanna write more for this-
