Normally, when he’d gotten all beat up on a job, he cleaned himself up as well as he could before he headed home, preferring to avoid attracting strange looks with whatever injuries he’d sustained. Now, though? He’d literally just come out of a scuffle, his team arresting the assailant and Tex on his way back to the office to start writing up his report before he clocked out. He’d had no time to clean up, literally rounding a corner and then pausing as a young woman looked at him. More of a stare than a look.

“Wha--? Nah, m’ fine. This is normal. Don’t worry ‘bout it.” He wiped some of the blood away from the side of his face, wincing slightly at the cut on his brow and the bruises and grazes across his cheekbone. Ugh.

“i think we need to get out the good stuff. my dad won’t even miss it.” as she talked, lily climbed onto the counter and opened the cabinet, reaching for the old liquor.            // @speciallystrange​ cont!
