I find it ironic that the man featured on the twenty dollar bill was a man who hated paper money, hated big banks, and killed the National Bank of America, all of which led to a major recession. Yeah Van Buren got stuck with the mess, but it wouldn't have happened without Jackson pulling funding from the National Bank and devaluing paper currency by buying government land in gold and silver and making inflation go "Whoopee!!!"
