What if he couldn’t shrink down for some reason or was stuck bigger then Ranboo in the main au/timeline?
(/remembers Tubbo saying he’d crawl into Ranboos ears if he got to big so he could still talk to him/)

And I don’t know if you mean in the spinoff where Tubbo’s the giant or the real friendly giant au, so I’m gonna keep it in the new spinoff au since that makes the most sense
Ranboo would be so afraid for a little while to even get near Tubbo, but he didnt realize how much that hurt the giant. Tubbo had always been afraid he wouldn’t be able to shift back one day, and now no matter how hard he tried he could get his body to shrink.
Tubbo doesn’t move, too afraid he might accidentally hurt Ranboo, and just lies still watching the human shake. He feels awful not being able to help and only realizes he’s crying when Ranboo walked up to his face.
He could barely feel the human’s hand when it pressed against his cheek making the tears come faster. He hated being so huge.
Ranboo shushed the giant and tried to find a way to make him stop crying. Even this close the giant never moved to hurt him, and after a little while all fear was gone from Ranboo’s mind. He just wanted to make his friend feel better.
He tried to cam him down with words until Tubbo let out a harsh sob.
“I can’t hear you...I can’t hear you Ranboo.”
Ranboo frowned and pushed harder against Tubbo’s cheek. The wetness from the boy’s tears stuck to his clothes. As carefully as he could he climbed up Tubbo’s face until he got to his massive ears. He kicked his leg up and with a jump landed at the bottom of the giant’s left ear.
“Can you hear me now?”
He heard a small hum from outside and rubbed his hand against Tubbo’s ear.
“It’s okay,” he whispered, “It’ll be okay.”
