If you can read this your computing device is at risk
If you haven't heard, there's a new computer security flaw called Specter and Meltdown.
any computer newer then 1995 is at risk. This includes smartphones, mac computers, windows computers, and Linux users. This is a PHYSICAL flaw inside the processor chips that CAN be exploited by malicious software to read data it should not be able to read.
in simple terms, it data in protected areas like passwords can be read (albeit very slowly) anyways.
There are currently no known viruses going around using this exploit but all the major companies are releasing software patches that band-aid this exploit. SO YES YOU NEED TO TURN WINDOWS UPDATE BACK ON EVEN THOUGH YOU DONT WANT TO.
