++ here i am with the take hd requested, just throwing my opinions out into the universe as though consequences aren’t a thing.
the league is straight up evil and people saying they’re closer to being the good guys than the heroes rn are whack. how was the league introduced? was it possibly a well organized, orchestrated attack on a class of 15 year olds with the intention of killing all might, with gleeful disregard for and even somewhat encouraged collateral damage? did their now former (behind the scenes) leader not level practically an entire ward, after an attack on this poor class AGAIN during camp in which they severely wounded several, attempted to kill even more, and kidnapped one of the people there? have they not continued to commit atrocities throughout the series, including but not limited to the use of the noumus (we do not talk NEARLY enough about how messed up the noumus are), the dismembering of overhaul (the question of deserving does not bear consequence here), the murder and robbery of people they simply didn’t like, all culminating in a conspiracy to overthrow and destroy hero society? i’d be a little more understanding if their goals were still oriented about societal REFORM, but they are downright societal DESTRUCTION now. they just want to destroy what they don’t like (or at the very least, they are following shigaraki, who is doing that).
don’t get me wrong, i love the league of villains as bad guys, and every time they clash with the heroes it’s exciting. but christ, don’t act like they’re not still bad guys. they are, and their actions are inexcusable. whether they die or are arrested, they should lose.
